Our "Peace of Mind" Services are a variety of first-rate customer services to help you meet your business goals and expanding application needs and to let us do the worrying about your Automatic ID and Data Collection systems. Our Peace of Mind repair and maintenance service options cover an assortment of bar code scanners, direct thermal/thermal transfer label and tag printers, label applicators, portable data terminals, radio frequency equipment, and printheads.

With Nationwide service, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (as needed), our goal is to exceed your expectations.

Depot Repair
Ahearn & Soper's state-of-the art repair facility includes the latest diagnostic equipment utilized by the equipment manufacturer. We provide fast turnaround time and use the original equipment manufacturer's parts in the process. Depot Service is available either on a fixed cost annual Service Agreement basis or on a pay as required, “time and materials” basis.

Facility Analysis
For RF Systems, many considerations about the application must be factored in. We can provide you with valuable services such as Facility Analysis to ensure that the system has the proper throughput, no dead zones, redundancy, no interference, and proper network management. As well, the number of users must be factored into the equation. Integral to the coverage of the RF is the Antenna technology, which can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. With 802.11b specifications, many choices of manufacturer can be considered. As well, mixing and matching equipment is important for meeting all application needs and future concerns.

Fixed Annual Maintenance Contracts
For a one time annual fee, all labor and repair parts (excluding printheads) are covered for one full year. This option eliminates the need for time spent obtaining approvals and purchase orders when equipment failures occur, while allowing for annual maintenance and repair cost budgeting.

Hot Swap Unit
The ultimate solution for minimizing down time is the availability of a Hot Swap Unit configured the same as your production unit. If the production unit fails, your operators would simply move it aside and install the spare. The faulty equipment could be serviced either on-site or sent to our facility for depot repair. We would be pleased to offer you pricing on a back-up system and to help put in place testing and Hot Swap replacement routines.

On-Site Service and Maintenance
We provide Nationwide On-Site Service either on a fixed annual service agreement basis or on a "time and material" pay as required basis. Service Agreements are available with optional hours of coverage from standard Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to full 24 hour a day, 7 day a week coverage. We provide a full range of services including: installation, repair, preventive maintenance, training and over the phone support. Customers with Service Agreements receive priority response from our factory trained service representatives.

On-Site Services available include:
Installation & Integration including Site Surveys and Facility Analysis (for guaranteed radio coverage) for wireless data installations, Project Management, Application Development and Integration Services, Training and Integration Support. Repair Services including Remedial Maintenance, covering all parts, labour and travel. Agreement coverage is available up to 24 hours a day, 7 days of the week. Preventative Maintenance Services including Mandatory Firmware Revisions and Mandatory Engineering Change Orders.

Parts & Supplies
Ahearn & Soper stocks genuine OEM parts and supplies for the products we support. When you need parts and supplies, our experienced staff will be pleased to help you out. Keep your products operating in like-new condition with OEM parts and supplies from Ahearn & Soper Inc.

Preventive Maintenance
With an On-Site Service Agreement, the reliability and working life of your equipment will be increased through scheduled preventive maintenance. Included in the Service Agreement are 2 preventive maintenance calls per year where we clean, test and re-calibrate the equipment. With the exception of print heads, any parts that are found to be worn or defective are replaced at no additional charge.

Programming & Engineering
Our Software Specialists have extensive experience in resolving the complex software and hardware interoperability problems that can cause productivity-sapping downtime. Project Management
Our experienced and certified Project Manager can take your Automatic ID or Data Capture Project from the planning stage to the development of a project plan to Requirements analysis and functional specifications right through to installation, integration, set up and training. Our Project Managers will ensure all requirements and deadlines are met to your satisfaction.

Remote Monitoring Service
Our Support Specialists have the capability of connecting to a customer's server remotely to install software updates necessary to correct problems or to enhance or check system performance. We can connect to your system to verify the status of the entire network in order to determine the most efficient way of correcting any problems prior to dispatching an expert to the site.

Spare Parts
Your trained and supported technicians will only be able to repair the equipment if they have quick access to a comprehensive supply of spare parts. With our experience and along with the manufacturer we can recommend to you a Spare Parts Kit that will address the bulk of potential component failures. As the manufacturer's representatives we can supply you with ready ongoing access to spares at reasonable costs.

Technical Telephone Support
With an Ahearn & Soper Annual Technical Telephone Support Agreement, for a fixed cost your technicians will receive support over the phone from our factory trained technical specialists. When your technicians need assistance they will be able to call our specialists for support and access to technical documentation and additional resources. We will walk them through troubleshooting and repair procedures. Our response time for telephone support is within 4 hours.
