XLLink Stockroom
Ahearn & Soper has created a stockroom application
within our XL-Link Software to keep track of inventory
counts and items that have been issued out. It has been
designed to be flexible and easy to operate. Stockroom
will manage small inventories of consumable and returnable
items. The software is backed by our extensive professional
services organization that can support and customize
it to accommodate a variety of applications.
A user-friendly Windows interface allows the operator
to select items from a list to issue, return, receive,
or move to a new location. This interface also gives
access to viewing the inventory and the reporting functions.
With the proper security clearance the operator can
monitor and manage the portable input devices and edit
lookup tables.
The software is based on an open architecture platform,
which allows a variety of portable device choices. When
real-time validation is not required, batch portables
can do the job. For a more dynamic system, yet still
cost effective, a short range RF system can be used,
capable of covering a 2,500 square foot area. For larger
areas, an 802.11b, 2.4Ghz, RF network can set up for
RF terminals to roam where ever necessary.
A cycle count function allows an operator to count
an area of the stockroom then run a discrepancy report.
The report can be viewed on the screen or printed. Discrepancies
between the inventory count and the quantity counted
can be accepted or printed and counted again.
A set of standard reports has already been created.
As well, a user-friendly screen makes creating custom
reports easy. Simply select the fields to sort by and
the field data you want to use as a filter and your
report is done. You can save your selections to be recalled
at any time. Reports can be viewed on screen or printed.
Stockroom will export a record of all transactions as
you define them, in real-time. Only validated transactions
will be exported ensuring data imported into your ERP
